The UK gas system is forecast to close 31mcm long today, according to npower’s daily market report.
That’s due to a decrease in flows from the UK and increased nominations for Aldbrough.
Rodney Johnson from the Optimisation Desk said: “Temperatures continue on a milder trajectory, though still around 2.5°C below seasonal normal levels.”
On the power system, demand is softer due to warmer temperatures.
Wind generation is expected to reach 4GW and solar 1.8GW.
Mr Johnson added: “The French interconnector is swinging between UK and France currently, though there will be a full reversal from 6pm this evening.”
Brent oil is trading at $45.66/bbl (£36.07/bbl).
The pound is valued at €1.16.
