Summary
McLean Ross are currently working with a Global manufacturer of SMART meters. To further strengthen the sales & commercial function team, we are looking for a Commercial Manager to lead on contract negotiation contract maintenance, and commercial support to Sales Personnel, KPI and SLA performance.
The Role
- This will be a cross functional role focussed on both SMART and traditional metering. You responsibilities will include;
- Assist in the management of a team of Sales Engineers to ensure the achievement of sales revenue against forecast.
- Support and on occasion lead contractual and commercial enquiries and negotiations.
- Ensure compliance and the Maintenance of all secured supply agreements.
- Assist in securing sales forecast and generate customer related MI and reports for Senior Management.
- Create new internal KPI’s and external standards of service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist in management of external KPI’s and SLA’s.
- Interface with key stakeholders to ensure commercial obligations and objectives are delivered to secure sustainable growth.
- Manage all tender notices, provision a compliance and on-time response.
- Manage the transfer prices and ensure selling prices comply with margin requirements.
- Lead on Account Management duties for major SMART customers, acting as a company ambassador and company champion.
The Individual
- Experience of managing a Commercial & Business Development function.
- Good understanding of SMART and traditional metering products and services.
- Results driven with the ability to understand and interpret customer demands and requirements.
- The ability to create succinct and accurate business reports.
- An understanding of the utility and metering industry.
- Solid understanding of the UK Energy Industry supply chain.
- Team leadership experience.
