A telecommunications and IT solutions firm has bought an energy broker.

Arrow Business Communications Limited’s acquisition of London’s Pulse Business Energy marks its entry into the business energy market and will bring its total turnover up to £26 million.

The move is Arrow’s eighth acquisition in the last seven years and makes it one of the few companies in the UK able to provide a full energy, telecoms, IT consultancy and service proposition.

Arrow offers a diverse portfolio ranging from hosted telephones and mobiles through to mobile device management, telephone systems, IT services, voice and data connectivity.

CEO of Arrow, Chris Russell, said: “We identified the energy market as a strategic opportunity a while ago but wanted to partner with a company whose ethos and values were similar to Arrow’s.

“Pulse provides a unique level of service and consultancy and this is reflected in their loyal customer base.”

Pulse will operate as a separate business unit and its employees will continue to look after their customers whilst benefitting from the use of Arrow’s larger resources and expertise.
