Around 300 delegates attended the Energy Live Consultancy Conference (ELCC) in Manchester last week.

Based in the Etihad Stadium, the conference catered to energy brokers and consultants from across the industry.

There were wide ranging discussions of the most pressing issues facing the sector, including water market deregulation, the relationship between suppliers and third party intermediaries (TPIs) and the increasing market for value-added services.

Between a lively panel debate and packed seminar sessions, ELN caught up with some of the delegates to see what they thought about the day.

One attendee said: “This is the second ELN [event] that I’ve been to at the Etihad, last year was brilliantly well attended, there must have been upwards of 200 people.

“Today’s absolutely no different, a great opportunity to come and meet old colleagues, catch up with some old faces, meet some new people, a great networking event and just to find out what’s going off in the industry in general.”

Another attendee told ELN: “Really good day here at ELCC, fantastic panel this morning, thought that was really interesting and I’m learning lots.”

Another delegate said she was “really, really enjoying it” and added “the seminars have been brilliant.”
