Swedish energy company Vattenfall is to start selling renewable power to businesses in the UK.
Dubbed FRESH, i.e. Flexible, Renewable Electricity, Supplied Honestly, it will be offered to large power consumers starting this month.
Anna Borg, Vattenfall’s new Head of Business Area Markets said: “This is the first time that Vattenfall is making a B2B offering in the UK. We are able to do this because of our investment in British wind capacity since 2008. Our renewable electricity product will help our future business customers achieve their sustainability goals.”
Vattenfall has invested nearly £3 billion in the UK and is to operate more than 1GW of wind capacity from 2018, meeting the equivalent annual demand of more than 650,000 UK households.
