Alistair Coar from European Utility Consultants has bagged the Sales Professional of the Year award.

The news was revealed during a ceremony at The Energy Live Consultancy Awards (TELCA) in London today.

The award-winning event celebrates the best of the best TPIs and energy consultants in the industry.

Nearly 600 people attended the awards show at the Honourable Artillery Company in London.

The judges said: “Alistair won because he showed he was committed to the client and believes in his ability rather than pushy sales banter.”

Catherine McLean, Managing Director at McLean Ross – which sponsored the Sales Professional award – added: “I think sales people are the lifeblood of a business because if they didn’t’ bring in the deals then there doesn’t get to be the rest – all the marketing, finance support that goes along with it.

“The sales people are the people that are there day in and day out meeting with the customers and retaining those customers and bringing new ones on board.”
