Dave Cockshott has been appointed as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at SmartestEnergy.

He will take on the new role – created as part of the company’s re-organisation to give it “real commercial focus” – from November this year.

Mr Cockshott, former CCO at utility consultancy Inenco and former Industrial and Commercial Director and Domestic Markets Director at npower, will be responsible for all customer groups.

Robert Groves, CEO of SmartestEnergy said: “This is a critical role for SmartestEnergy and Dave brings the commercial leadership that we will need in an increasingly competitive and complex market. He joins in early November and I’m sure he will have a big impact on our business.”
