Tata Power has installed its first electric vehicle (EV) charging station in the Indian state of Mumbai.

The chargers at the Tata Power Receiving Station are able to monitor the car battery status and units consumed while charging a vehicle.

The company plans to set up more charging stations at other locations in the city.

It hopes the adoption of smart charging infrastructure will help the country achieve its ambitious plan of mass scale shift to EVs by 2030.

Anil Sardana, CEO of Tata Power said: “We are moving towards clean power for all and it is our endeavour to provide best of the solutions for our country to achieve a greener tomorrow.”
