A peer-to-peer finance platform has launched an offer to directly invest in two biomass systems.

Abundance Investment is offering an annual return of 8% over 19 years, with the benefit of being eligible for tax-free returns in an ISA.

The new offer aims to raise £1.4 million and since its launch this weekend, around £1 million has already been invested.

It will finance two new biomass systems at a goat farm in Monmouthshire and a kiln-dried log business in Herefordshire.

Co-founder and Managing Director Bruce Davis said: “Our customers like to invest in a range of different renewable technologies and the UK still has some way to go before it’s on track to meet its renewable heat targets. So supporting sustainably-sources biomass projects like this one can make an important difference.”
