Mobile network giant EE has announced a new renewable energy deal with npower.

The energy supplier will provide power from green sources such as wind farms and solar plants for EE’s operations, including more than 500 retail locations.

Under the deal, npower will supply EE, part of BT Group, with 680GWh of renewable energy.

The project will support BT’s target of buying 100% green power for its operations by the end of the decade.

Last year, the company sourced 82% of renewable power.

The UK’s energy mix will be part of the discussions at Energy Live Expo on 2nd November in London. There are limited free tickets for energy end users.
