Aggregators can help further increase the flexibility of the grid and play a role in creating energy markets to boost demand side flexibility.

That’s the view of Yoav Zingher, CEO of KiWi Power, who spoke at the World Bank Energy Sector Management Assistance Programme (ESMAP) forum.

He addressed the growth of renewable energy generation and how this increases the value of flexibility in the power system and puts system operators to the test by having them mobilise flexibile energy generation resources to help balance the grid.

He also touched upon the role aggregators can play in creating energy markets to increase demand side flexibility and how aggregators can help price signals reach end consumers.
