Forget charging your electric car – imagine having to charge your spaceship.

A gang of alien UFOs have reportedly been sighted doing exactly that – by swooping in and around a giant thunderstorm above Sydney, Australia.

Alien enthusiast UFO Today posted the footage to his YouTube channel – it was originally filmed by someone else as a timelapse to capture the storm.

In the description of the video, the uploader suggested the UFOs were probably trying to gather energy from the lightning to feed off or to power their vehicles.

Other commentators believed they could be studying the storm to see how it works.
