New digital hub for nuclear capacity building

It focuses on workforce planning, leadership and training to support countries with operating plants and those considering or developing new programmes

A digital platform for new nuclear energy capacity building has been launched.

The International Atomic Energy Agency’s online hub (IAEA) focuses on workforce planning, leadership, training and stakeholder involvement to support countries with operating nuclear power plants and those considering or developing new programmes.

It allows registered users to join communities of practice for information sharing and capacity building as well as provide feedback on IAEA’s draft publications.

Lotta Halt, Training Specialist for Nuclear Power at the IAEA said: “The Hub offers a unique interactive online space for specialists working in the nuclear field. It will serve as the IAEA’s one-stop-shop for information and discussion on topics related to human resource development and stakeholder involvement for nuclear power programmes.”
