OVO Energy poaches Tesco exec as retail CEO

The supplier serves more than 850,000 retail energy customers in the UK

OVO Energy has appointed the managing director of online at Tesco as its new retail CEO.

Adrian Letts will join the energy company in the New Year as it prepares to expand overseas.

He has helped grow Tesco’s e-commerce business while improving customer experience and increasing profitability – the supermarket saw its highest growth in seven years earlier this year.

Mr Letts co-founded digital and on-demand TV service Blinkbox in 2006 prior to joining Tesco.
