The National Audit Office has launched an investigation into Britain’s largest nuclear waste facility amid concerns over escalating costs and safety issues
The facility can store 6,681 waste boxes in its thick walls and accommodate up to nine boxes daily

Sellafield Ltd held a three-day trial of Spot, the mobile robot dog developed by Boston Dynamics, at the Calder Hall nuclear power station which is currently being decommissioned
The Sellafield Product and Residue Store Retreatment Plant will treat and store historic nuclear waste for at least 100 years
Proposals must address one of the following topics: radioactive waste treatment, robotic and autonomous systems for decommissioning, fuel debris materials and decommissioning technology
