The cities are located in Ecuador, Mexico, Montenegro, South Africa, Ukraine and Vanuatu, with projects including energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainable mobility
Carbon pricing instruments generate around $5bn in revenue, representing a 17% increase from last year, however, the full potential of carbon pricing ‘remains largely untapped’
The programme is funded by the UK Government’s International Climate Finance, offering a total of $1.5m in grant funding for the pilot implementation
