A sustainable energy technology business from Salford has expanded into Europe with the purchase of two specialist engineering businesses in Italy and Romania.

ENER-G has taken over Milan-based MGM Engineering and EnALT Engineering and Contracting, situated in Bucharest.

ENER-G group managing director Derek Duffill said: “The acquisition of MGM and EnALT will drive ENER-G’s specialist engineering expertise on mainland Europe and further extend our International reach.”

The UK-based firm is looking to surpass the £97m turnover from last year with a £126m performance. The group already has a foothold in each country, owning ENER-G Energetice Srl and ENER-G Italia, allowing it to expand its international workforce of more than 800 staff.
