Two weeks after a double whammy at the Green Business Awards, Marks & Spencer has scooped two more green awards.

At the Energy Institute Awards in London the retail giant won the Communication Award for its energy campaigns and the Energy Excellence Award.

M&S was not the only twin-winner of the night. The University of New South Wales took the Technology Award for its solar cell work, while the university’s Professor Martin Green won the Individual Achievement Awardfor his work in revolutionising solar cell technology”.

Other winners were: Community Initiative Award: AID Foundation; Environment Award: Ringmer Community College; Innovation Award: Diverse Energy; and Safety Award: Reliance Industries.

Earlier this month M&S has was named Green Business of the Year and also the company with the best Carbon Emissions Ambitions.
