The Renewable Energy Association has requested its members apply pressure to resolve issues preventing the Renewable Heat Incentive from being rolled out on time.

The memo stated that the Department of Energy and Climate Change had failed to reach agreement with the Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs over the issue of air quality and that other departments were delaying approval. The European Commission also needs to give State Aids approval.

The REA have said that If the documents are published by mid-February, the June/July start date is still reasonable.
