The Energy and Climate Change Select Committee will meet tomorrow to question industry and network companies over market reform.

The committee aims to question the witnesses over the need for new electricity capacity in the UK and how to reduce demand.

Representatives from Alstom Power, Dong Energy, Statoil, GE Energy, National Grid, Energy Networks Association and Carbon Capture and Storage Association will be present.

The Consultation period will run to March 10, 2011. The Electricity Market Reform aims to develop and deliver a new market framework that will enable the cost effective delivery of secure low carbon energy.
