Alstom has signed a contract worth £260million (€300m) to continue running the Hai-Fu power plant in Taiwan.

The new Operation and Maintenance contract sets up the operator to work on the Taiwanese plant for another 15 years.

The 980 MW Hai-Fu power plant was built in 1996. It was one of the first independent power plants to come into operation in Taiwan. Alstom has run operations at the plant since 2001.
