Balfour Beatty has done a deal for the acquisition of energy consultancy Power Efficiency.

In the merger, the international infrastructure group will take on Power Efficiency as part of its Support Services Division.

Bobby Collinson, Managing Director of Power Efficiency said that the companies will combine forces in energy management services: “The skills and capabilities of Balfour Beatty are complementary to those within Power Efficiency and both share a common and determined aim to deliver a leading energy services business.

We are in the process of combining our two companies into one team that will be ideally positioned to meet the challenges and opportunities of the energy market in the future. Our primary consideration is to ensure our customers are fully supported, and service delivery is maintained.”

Balfour Beatty Chief Executive, Ian Tyler added: “This acquisition enables us to add additional skills and capabilities to our existing range of services and I am delighted that Power Efficiency’s management share our goal to build a leading energy services business.”

Together the companies will have 100 technical specialists and account managers.
