A group of local individuals and small companies in the Midlands are teaming up to promote the use of renewable energy.

The Renewable Energy Technology Alliance (RETA), which has the backing of the Coventry City and Warwickshire County Councils and Warwick and Coventry Universities, brings together small and medium sized businesses committed to forming a low carbon supply chain.

Councillor Linda Bigham, cabinet member for City Development in Coventry praised the group’s work in her city. She said: “RETA’s unique selling point is its supply chain – its membersoffer expertiseina wide range of skills from micro-generation to manufacturing and from legal advisors to the wholesale trade.”

RETA will stage its official launch in June.
