Calor is offering homeowners £500 off boiler installation to tempt oil users to switch to gas.

The new offer sees Calor move in tandem with the government’s recent Green Deal in the hope that more people will be persuaded to use gas.

The Green Deal is the Government scheme that gives people up to £10,000 to put efficiency measures in their home.

A spokesperson for Calor LPG (liquid petroleum gas) told ELN: “It’s a happy convenience that homeowners are able to purchase these under the scheme because they are more energy efficient. Not only can they get money off, it also falls within the £10,000 budget.”

The supplier serves off-grid users, in the country and smaller villages, with portable heating, gas hobs and autogas.
