A fire broke out on one of BP’s oil rigs in Norway. Workers at the Valhall production platform were evacuated after the blaze on Wednesday, which BP says was “a small incident”.

The fire was put out after an hour and a half and was confined to a small area in a compressor vent line. An investigation team has been formed to work out what caused it.

Production was halted and hasn’t yet resumed at the platform. A spokesperson for BP said that no injuries were caused by the incident.
