Reports that RWE npower are reviewing their nuclear programme as part of Horizon nuclear have been rubbished by their CEO.

An npower spokesperson told ELN: “We have no new comment to make, Our CEO Volker Beckers has said only last week that we are continuing to spend millions of pounds each week showing our commitment to both Horizon and nuclear in the UK.”

Recently SSE pulled out of nuclear consortium NuGen last month, causing skepticism across the sector that funding will be raised for new nuclear.
