Oil and gas firms Total, Marathon and Statoil are investing 1.1billion kroner in expanding a North Sea oil field they share. The Vilje South well, which Statoil operates, has estimated reserves of 7.6 million barrels of oil equivalent. By 2014 the well is expected to produce about 5,000 barrels per day.
