Parts of the subway in Glasgow have been suspended after heavy rain caused it to flood. The subway was forced to suspend both lines shortly after 9am this morning due to a build up of water at Partick Station.

Water is being pumped out and trains began running between Kelvinbridge and St Enoch on the Outer Circle and from Buchanan Street to Ibrox around 10.15am.

The Met Office have issued amber weather warnings for Strathclyde, Central Scotland, Tayside, Fife, the south west and Lothian and Borders areas and say the heavy rain will continue for the rest of the day at the very least.
