The Government of Kuala Lumpur is working towards expanding the use of hybrid and electric cars in Malaysia.

It has landed an Electric Vehicle Infrastructure roadmap, which incorporates a vehicle-testing programme.

Datuk Noriah Kasnon, Deputy Energy and Green Technology Minister said: “The government has taken various measures towards a more conducive environment for the use of electric vehicles in Malaysia.”

The plan includes low interest loans to make the vehicles more affordable to the general public.
