Spanish energy company Iberdrola won a €135million (£113m) contract to build a Polish wind farm. The 82MW project is the firm’s tenth wind farm in Poland and is expected to be up and running in 20 months. Polish firm Tauron Ekoenergía commissioned the new complex which will be built in Marszewo, in the north west of Poland. The country’s wind installations increased by a factor of five between 2009 and 2010, according to the European Wind Energy Association.
