Scotland is making “good progress” on cutting emissions, according to the Government’s climate advisors.

The Committee on Climate Change (CCC) yesterday published its first report on the country’s progress to hitting emissions targets. The Scottish Government has committed to slashing emissions by 42% by 2020.

The CCC found Scotland is increasing its investment in renewable forms of electricity, adding new capacity to the grid and is outperforming its targets for renewable heat.
