A British oil and gas safety firm has expanded its reach to work with the Government and oil companies in the US.
The Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation (OPITO) focuses on improving the safety of oil and gas workers and delivers training and emergency standards to be used within the industries.
David Doig, OPITO Group’s Chief Executive said: “OPITO exist purely to improve the safety of the oil and gas workforce and to ensure that people return home safe at the end of the day.
“It should be a fundamental right in any workplace to know and understand the basic safety and emergency response skills of your fellow workers.”
Seven training providers in the US so far are certified to provide OPITO training standards.
