Energy Live Jobshop has a Senior Energy Engineer role. A dynamic consulting company with strong technical credentials in energy efficiency is looking for a Senior Energy Engineer to join their fast growing team. Their business consists of the formulation and delivery of cost effective energy saving projects that contribute substantially to clients’ climate change programmes. In essence they consult,project manage and implement.

Working predominantly with blue chip companies, either on global programmes or more UK focused regional roll-out schemes, the business covers a range of industry sectors from industrial, pharmaceutical, food & drink through to manufacturing, commercial, retail and leisure. They work on all categories of utilities and energy conversion equipment, its design, its control, its installation and its operation.

The Candidate we are looking for will have a good university degree and a track record of at least 5 years in a branch of energy engineering, probably in consulting or some form of energy services company. You will be able to identify quickly cost effective energy saving opportunities and analyse the value they bring. You will be able to size up the extent of installation work required and identify any critical aspects requiring further review.

The successful candidate will be presentable and will be able to deliver a compelling case through the quality of their analysis, their interpersonal skills and their understanding of client needs. They will have had experience managing projects, client relationships and inter-disciplinary project teams. The successful candidate will fully understand the imperative of managing and delivering to the client’s expectations.

The ideal candidate would also be familiar with the raft of legislation and incentive schemes that bear on energy and emissions: EU ETS, CRC, CHPQA, CCAs, CCL. You would also ideally have a good grasp of energy management techniques such as M&T.

Although the post is based in Central London it will require travel to client sites in the UK and abroad.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and capabilities and is in the range of £50,000 – 70,000.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and hold a valid driving licence.
