The 2012 Motor Driven Systems’ (MDS) Conference has published its schedule of discussion papers and names of speakers.

This year the Conference is being run over a single day and will once again feature contributions from the UK Government and the EU, Standards and Research bodies, Manufacturing Trade Associations, leading manufacturers and end users.

The Conference will tackle the key areas of Standardisation, Systems Engineering and Product Installation.

The range of topics includes the global market for higher efficiency; drive systems’ efficiency standard; pumping systems’ efficiency index; considerations for efficiencies for refrigeration; applications for energy efficient electric motors and improving the efficiency of a compressed air system.

A number of case studies will focus on practical solutions to real life industry requirements. In addition, this year will see a separate satellite session which will address the financial arguments for adopting a systems’ approach to motor driven systems.

Amongst the manufacturers addressing the Conference will be WEG, ebm-papst, ABB, Vacon Drives, Mattei Compressors, Xylem, Schneider Electric, Armstrong Integrated, JTL Systems and IMS Research.

The Motor Driven Systems’ (MDS) Conference will take place on Thursday 8th November 2012, at St. John’s Hotel, Solihull.
