Opus Energy, a leading business to business (b2b) energy supplier has said it is “proud” to announce its sponsorship of the Most Innovative Consultancy category for Industrial and Commercial customers at this year’s Energy Live Consultancy Awards (the TELCAs).

Opus Energy supplies more than 150,000 business locations across the UK and its customers include White Stuff, Paperchase, Stagecoach, Pizza Hut and Virgin Media.

The firm says it chose to sponsor the I&C Most Innovative Consultancy award as recognition of the “crucial role” consultants play in the energy market.

Steve James, Director for Corporate Solutions at Opus Energy said: “We wanted to be part of the Energy Live Consultancy Awards in order to pay tribute to the hard work of consultants. They are a key part of the energy industry, as they help to facilitate innovation in an ever changing market.”

The supplier says the launch of its online energy buying tool called Opus Evolution shows how consultants are helping to drive market innovation. The web tool lets I&C customers with non half-hourly metered sites access the wholesale market directly and was developed with feedback from consultants.

Mr James added: “Opus Energy would also like to extend its thanks to the Energy Live team, who are bringing more attention to the energy industry – both internally and externally – through relevant and topical news articles. We are delighted to be able to partner with them and congratulate them for launching these awards.”
