An Aberdeen-based energy consultancy firm has secured a £13 million contract to work on Premier Oil’s North Sea project.

Xodus Group will conduct an underwater design study on the subsea architecture, pipelines, subsea control systems as well as provide technical safety and risk support.

The Catcher field is said to be one of the larger North Sea discoveries in recent years and Xodus will assist the UK oil firm in the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) research for each of the wells to allow production from the field through the subsea.

Andrew Wylie, Senior Consultant at Xodus Group said: “Xodus is proud to be involved in the Catcher project which is a significant development in the North Sea. Our fully independent, integrated and highly technical service will deliver a wealth of knowledge to this project.”
