An Aberdeen-based energy services firm has secured a £40 million contract extension for one of its longest running projects in the North Sea.

Wood Group PSN (WGPSN) said it will continue to provide operations and maintenance services to ConocoPhillips’ offshore assets (pictured) in the Southern and Central North Sea and the onshore Theddlethorpe gas terminal in Lincolnshire.

The one-year deal will be supported by 150 onshore and 280 offshore people in the UK.

Dave Stewart, UK Managing Director for WGPSN said: “We are proud to have worked with ConocoPhillips (UK) Limited for more than 20 years and continue this long-term relationship. The ConocoPhillips project is a key contract in our UK portfolio and we are pleased to receive this extension and further enhance our reputation with a major international company.”

Earlier this week a subsidiary of Wood Group was awarded an offshore wind contract in China.
