A sustainable investment fund is hitting the road to dispel some of the myths around the sector in a series of workshops across the UK.

Alliance Trust Investments manages £1.4 billion worth of assets across its seven Sustainable Future funds. It became one the world’s largest dedicated sustainable investment funds in February when it bought Aviva Investors’ Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) funds.

Starting in Aberdeen in October, 29 Sense in Sustainability workshops will be held over seven weeks. Other destinations include Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Oxford, Birmingham and London.

Peter Michaelis, Head of Alliance Trust’s SRI team said: “Through these workshops we aim to demonstrate to advisers and their potential clients the strength of the returns from sustainably investing – SRI is a sensible approach from both an investment perspective and an ethical one.”
