Leisureplex Hotel Group is powering five of its UK hotels with renewable energy.

The deal with independent supplier SmartestEnergy covers some of its largest seaside resort sites, including the Queens hotels in Eastbourne (pictured) and Blackpool and the Croit Anna in Fort William.

From the start of December 2013, 477 rooms in Leisureplex hotels have run entirely from renewable electricity.

Karen Sawbridge, Operations Director at the travel firm said: “We are proud to be working with SmartestEnergy to provide a number of our top hotels with renewable energy.”
