Green energy company Ecotricity is turning up the heat on its anti-fracking crusade.

Next week it is launching a film about shale gas showing a set of fracking chimneys flatulently expelling gas.

The film has a tag line ‘Don’t squeeze the last gas out of Britain’ and will premiere at a launch with Green Party MP Caroline Lucas on Thursday (6 March).

The energy company is trying to poach green-minded customers from huge rivals such as British Gas.

David Oliver, Head of Marketing at Ecotricity said: “We believe that fracking is wrong and we want households to be aware of which energy companies are investing in shale gas.”
