Geoff Curran writes last night…

It is over three hours since I finished with the lovely people at CUB UK and having finished another fifty plus miles on the Energy Live News PowerRide. It is fair to say I am feeling it today, especially as I had to get to March before 5 p.m. and I was still nearer to Royston at 2 p.m. than March. However, I got my Wiggins face on and gave it some.

Another good day….I managed to get rid of Sumit who was slowing me down (not really, it will be missed with his navigational skills and his humour), we visited a wind turbine and Eco Hub building with our friend Kelvin Ross (Editor, Power Engineering International), I went past a massive solar farm (though no pictures or film as I couldn’t get near it because of the ditches and thick bushes) and then finished at CUB UK, our friends who help business customers to buy energy effectively and be more efficient with it.

I am now sitting with Simon (our cameraman, doing sterling work on the films) and we are finishing up for the day. We are off for food as I need to carb up and he needs to eat something more than snacks. Then it is back to our hotel (which is very eco as it has loads of solar panels on the roof) for a well-deserved sleep.

Please don’t forget that we are also doing this for Parkinsons UK and please donate athttps://www.justgiving.com/energylivenewspowerride/ and we have had many sponsors (please see above) who I would to like thank very much.
