Risk Manager – £35,000-£40,000 base – East of England (Suffolk)
The client provides energy risk management consultancy to a wide range of clients in both the commercial and the public sectors. They provide independent advice in the areas of energy contract risk management, bureau services and trading.
A growing client base requires help and advice in managing their procurement of electricity, gas, oil and carbon with all the inherent risks and challenges this brings. Suitable candidates will need to display knowledge of the energy markets particularly gas and electricity, an understanding of fixed and flexible contracts, an aptitude for client interfacing work and to be a team player. Modelling skills are highly desirable as is a tenacious attitude to resolving problems. Candidates are likely to be from an economics, engineering or similar background, but direct and successful experience will be equally valid.
