Danish turbine manufacturer Vestas has won an order from EDF’s renewable arm for a wind power project in Poland.

It will supply 29 turbines of 2MW each to EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN) as well as provide a two-year service.

The Rzepin wind farm will be one of the largest in northwest Poland, Vestas said.

Delivery is expected to start in the first quarter, with commissioning finished toward the end of next year.

Klaus Steen Mortensen, Vestas President for Northern Europe said: “We are happy to be chosen as the turbine supplier and service provider for these wind power plants.”
