A corridor of “fast chargers” for electric cars will soon link Sweden, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands.

By the end of 2015, major motorways will get a total of 155 chargers: up to 30 in the Netherlands, 23 in Denmark, 35 in Sweden and 67 in Germany.

The EUR 8.4 million (£6.7m) project, co-funded by the EU, is called ELECTRIC which stands for European Long-Distance Electric Clean Transport Road Infrastructure Corridor.

The first charging stations in the project are already ready to use in Denmark.
