It’s bad enough getting food poisoning from bad fish, but fancy biting into a poisonous polluted one for dinner?

A farmer in Northern Ireland, County Tyrone has been found guilty of polluting a waterway which could potentially have harmed fish.

Charles Irwin, of Magheracreggan Road in Castlederg was slapped with a fine of £750 in the Strabane Magistrates Court plus £28 in court fees.

Inspector found a stretch of waterway roughly 240 metres long was affected by discharge from the farm on 24 October 2013.
