An online hub for renewable energy data has been created that shows the latest trends and stats for countries worldwide.

The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) launched the database this week called REsource, that lets users compare country specific data on things like renewable energy use and deployment.

Adnan Z. Amin, Director-General of IRENA said: “Having accurate renewable energy information in the future depends on today’s ability to predict growth paths and implement the right monitoring instruments to capture this growth.”

It aims to expand the renewable energy sector by providing more information to help companies with their decision-making and boost investor confidence for the sector.
