Uruguay is getting a new wind farm with a capacity of 70MW.
Spanish manufacturer Gamesa has won an order from Uruguay’s state utility (UTE) to supply and install 35 turbines with a capacity of 2MW each.
The Valentines wind farm, located in south Uruguay, will also be operated and maintained by Gamesa for 15 years.
It is expected to be commissioned during the third quarter of 2016, stated the company.
