Volker Beckers was the CEO of RWE npower for three years taking the company through growth in its generation business and expanding its offering to business customers. He left npower in early 2013. Today he holds positions at various financial companies and at ELEXON Ltd and he is also Chairman of Spenceram Ltd. He is a non-executive director with the UK government’s HM Revenue & Customs. He was recently appointed Chairman of Albion Community Power PLC, a renewable power generation and investment firm. Volker also chairs the Advisory Board for the Energy Forum at the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University.
