Vestas has been awarded a contract to supply turbines for a wind project in Vietnam.

The Phu Lac wind park is expected to have a capacity of 24MW.

The company will deliver 12 turbines with a capacity of 2MW each.

Chris Beaufait, President of Vestas Asia Pacific and China said: “Wind power is an independent, competitive and clean energy source that helps Vietnam to meet its growing electricity demand.

“The Phu Lac wind park will be an important milestone in Vietnam’s nascent wind energy sector.”
