E.ON is implementing an energy efficiency programme in a German engineering firm’s facility.

The energy firm claims it will help Voith save 40% in energy costs and reduce around 1,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.

The engineering will reduce its energy consumption at the facility by reducing gas use for space heating as well as introducing energy efficiency measures for ventilation systems and pumps.

Robert Hienz, CEO of E.ON Connecting Energies (ECT) said: “The project shows how an integrated overall concept tailored to the customer can achieve significantly greater energy savings than a conventional approach.”
